Let's fight depression!

What do you want to do with your depression?

What is that all people suffering from depression have in common? Feeling of sadness, worthlessness, hopelessness? No will to live?

9.4 million Americans have this condition. One in four women and one in ten men can expect to develop depression during their lifetime.

Nobody is immune and there's no 100% treatment for this disease!

What can you do?

  • You can go to a shrink, get your prescription. Taking medication can last years, doesn't guarantee anything and very expensive (I hope you have a good health insurance plan!);
  • You can orderthe pills you know online which might be a cheaper option, especially, if you don't have a good health insurance plan;
  • You can try and fight depression yourself!

A few simple tips if you decide to go with the third option:

  1. Define your life goal. Many people can't go forward as they don't know where they are going.
  2. Aim for the moon and believe that anything is possible.
  3. Eat humble pie and take small steps towards your goal.
  4. Visualize your future and make it the way you want it to be.

Practical Excercise:

Take several colorful post-its, write an achievable goal on each of them and stick them near your desk or on the fridge. You can choose, say, pink post-it for "Family Goal", blue post-it for "Health Goal", yellow one for "Friends Goal" and so on. Pick objectives that are simple and that will give you satisfaction. Like, "go jogging twice a week" or " take a friend out for dinner".
